    Description

    For your consideration is a tiny facsimile of a Firestone tire.  When manufactured, this tire was fitted with a clear glass ashtray.  The tire is embossed with the words:  Firestone               DELUXE CHAMPION        Gum (Firestone logo) Dipped        MADE IN U.S.A.  I assume this was manufactured in the 1930s, because I have seen similar items with a green depression glass insert.  The bottom of the ashtray is embossed with the word Firestone.  The total diameter is 5 7/8" and the tread is slightly more than 1 3/8" wide.  The visible part of the glass is slightly more than 3" in diameter.  This ashtray is an old that has been used.  It has 0 cracks and 0 chips, however in the tread is a hole that I can't explain or think of a reason for.  Other than that hole it is in very good original condition.  Please, carefully examine the pictures, as the pictures are part of the description.  Local pickup is encouraged.  Local pickup is free.  For my bookkeeping, it is lot JCP 627.
